Baxter the Lonely Dead Bear

So it took me well over a month before I could even stop working on this piece, I obsessed and lost a lot of sleep over this guy but I'm in love with it and its one of my favorite pieces yet. Its all acrylic paint on a 10" DIY Teddy Troop with removable helmet. it is for sale in the Shop! right now so if you fancy it as much as I do head over there. The countless hours and days I refused to put the paint brush down paid off and I hope you all love it as much as I do!

Sacrilege; They May Drink Your Blood

"Don't tell them you can walk on water or they may drink your blood". This is my interpretation of the lyric from the song Sacrilege from AFI's new album Crash Love that came out today. By the way, the album is amazing, go buy it! I really enjoyed the way this turned out and had fun working on it, and Ive always pulled so much inspiration from their music which is so dear to me and has been for years. Acrylic on 11x14 canvas.

"Lil' Horn"

Lil Horn (as hes reffed to by some but anti christ is the most common usage) is the son of the devil. The subject here hits stronger than in most of my other work. Its about diversity, and how else can one be more diverse than to be damned from birth? Here in this portrait you see Lil' Horn coming to realization for the first time of what it is to be an outcast, not just to people but to some other "higher" power. (acrylic on canvas 9x12)

"Queen Henry the 13th"

The effeminate ruler of... whatever it is he rules over!!!
(9x12 acrylic on canvas)

Acrylic on canvas 20x30

"The Notorious Mr. Woodward"

Acrylic on canvas 9x12

"Portrait of the Gentleman Mr. Hamilton"

So as I said my new series has begun and its much different than my previous work I have changed my style completley and I am enjoying it! (acrylic on canvas 9x12)

New series on the way...

Well Ive been absent from this blog for a short while, but with good reason! Ive been hard at work on my next series of paintings, all acrylics on canvas. The themes are dark and fun (death and smiles, you know...the usual). Anyway, I couldn't be more excited! This will be taking my work to different places, unfamiliar and new and I hope it excites everyone else as well! So Ill return soon with news and updates as to where the series stands and its direction.

"Hauntings, Tragedies, And The Ghost Of A Raccoon"

Ive had a wee bit of an artistic slump lately but this really pulled me out of it! Took me a few hours in Photo Shop but I pulled it off. Its made to have that old dried up painting feel so I think it brings that sense of tragic withered-ness to it. Finished just in time for Halloween as well, the greatest day of them all! well enjoy this for me while I'm off to Sea World for the Halloween weekend:) Wooot! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Dug sumthin up...

Thought I would post this old digital piece up here while I'm workin on more stuff. This was one of my first PS made images. I drew the line in my personal sketch book and made it all "pretty" in Photo Shop. The ears on Bear Boy are oddly HUGE and hes got these scrawny legs but it was just a quick sketch.

Just a rough illustration

Well I was bored in PS and decided to do a quick action filled sketch with Pumpkin the witch. If your thinking to yourself "gee, she looks fimiliar" check my previous post.

Pumpkin

Here you are! My concept is all colored and finished in Photo Shop. I decided to name her Pumpkin due to her almost Halloween like influence in style, being a witch and all I felt it would be appropriate, click and enjoy!

"Cannibalism And The Sensational Sense Of Love"

This was done on an 18x36 canvas with oil paint markers. I really do enjoy conflicting imagery so the very thought of a post murder/cannibalistic feast scene with love showing its smiling face upon what had happened was too entertaining to not paint! I hope this entertains at the least!

"I Will Always Be Alone"

24x30 oil paint marker on canvas. Okay well this one came to me while trying to sleep on night and during my five hours of tossing and turning this image appeared in my noggin (most of my work comes about this way) any way, it perfectly articulated current emotions Ive strongly experienced lately. But it means allot to me. It also seems to get the best response from people, I think it speaks to others as well. Enjoy.

"Meet Bear Girl"

24x24 oil paint marker on canvas. This took me close to 14 hours, and I am so proud of the finished result! Bear Girl is the obvious femalecounterpart to Bear Boy, seemingly sweeter than he is but...still just as evil on the inside.

"Meet Bear Boy" (work in progress)

24x24 oil paint markers and india ink on canvas
My first post to my new blog. Its the first of my latest series and I wanted to share with you all what I have done so far, but when its complete I will post it in all of its glory!
